Every location you have can be pulled out as a CSV file. Use it as a backup, as a way to bulk-edit in a spreadsheet and import back, or simply to hand your list to someone else.
Export everything
Open Locations and click Bulk export in the top row of buttons. The file downloads straight away, named locations.csv.
Export a selection
- Narrow the list first if you need to. The search bar and the Status and Tags filters both work here.
- Tick the locations you want.
- Open Actions and choose Export locations.
What is in the file
One row per location, with the name, the address broken into country, city, zip code, street and province, the coordinates, and every contact field: phone, fax, email, website and the five social links. Alongside those:
The opening hours, both as the free-text field and as the seven per-day columns with a timezone column next to them
Tags, priority, the info text and the image URL
Any custom fields you created, each under its own name
dealerEditUrl: the self-edit link for that location, if your plan includes them
The columns match what the bulk importer reads, so a file you export can be edited and imported back without renaming anything.
What to do next
Opening the file in Excel and seeing question marks instead of accented letters? That is an encoding problem, and "Resolving question marks after bulk importing locations" fixes it.
Editing in a spreadsheet regularly? A connected Google Sheet keeps your locations in step by itself, instead of you exporting and importing by hand.
