A location is either active, which means shoppers see it on the map, or inactive, which means it stays in your list but disappears from the storefront. Nothing is lost either way, so this is the switch to use for a shop that is closed for refurbishment, a dealer whose contract is on hold, or a location you are still preparing.
Switch several at once
- Open Locations and find the locations you want. The search bar and the Status filter help on a long list.
- Tick them.
- Open Actions and choose Activate or Deactivate.
You can also open a single location and change its status on its own page.
What changes on your storefront
An active location shows on the map and in the results list.
An inactive one is hidden from both, but keeps all of its data, so activating it later brings it back exactly as it was.
The storefront caches your locations for a few seconds, so give it a moment before checking the live page.
Locations that come from a data source
If a location arrives from a connected Google Sheet or from Shopify Locations, your manual switch is respected: a sync will not quietly turn back on something you switched off. Shopify locations that are inactive in Shopify are brought in switched off, so they stay off your map until you activate them yourself.
What to do next
Removing a location for good instead? Use Delete in the same Actions menu. That one cannot be undone.
Want it visible but higher up the results list? Set a priority on the location instead. Then switch Order of locations to sort by priority in Settings.
Stuck on any of this? Open the chat in the bottom right corner of the app and we will help you set it up.
